September 4th - A Trip to Wildcat Ridge Wildlife Management Area.

We headed to Rockaway, NJ.  Laurie had heard about a great area for hiking. We didn't fund the area she was looking for that day. We did get to Wildcat Ridge, but it was a different area of it.  It turns out that the park is a very large place with many trails and views.

Parking the car, We headed into the woods for a walk.  In the trees, there was a stream, and some old stone foundations.  It was a very pleasant nature walk.  We made plans to find out more and find the place she had been told about the following week.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hybernia Creek runs through this area. passes here under Green Pond Road into a reservoir
