Journey into New Jersey - The final leg.

We struck our camp site and headed into Port Clinton for a final breakfast before hitting our final leg.  Had that breakfast at the local Frisch's Big Boy.  Then headed east.  Pretty Ohio countryside, Lots of small towns and such.  Passed through Cleveland and the Indian's Progressive Stadium, and crossed the Cuyahoga River.  "Burn on big river, burn on." Local environmental work has mostly cleaned up the big river which actually caught fire in the 70s.  We entered Pennslyvania in the afternoon as the land rose signalling our entry into the Appalachian Mountains.  We crossed the west branch of the Susquehanna River and later the main branch itself.  We climbed over the roads and had a bout of stop and go traffic late in the day.  Night fell and we continued on.

As the morning started we neared and crossed into New Jersey.  The border between the two states is formed by the Delaware Water Gap, and the view in the dawn was amazing.  Just over the state line, we came across a sigh for a view overlook area, and went on up it.  We were greeted by an amazing view looking across the valley and forest blanketed with early morning fog.

From there, down into the forest along winding roads to our new community of Netcong, NJ.  We had the campground in our gps, and it delivered us to a road leading nowhere except a broken trail blocked off by a barricade.  By putting the actual address into the Garmin, we were taken to where we needed to be.  We located a person in charge, got our site, and began setting up for the duration after pulling in.

The Eagle has landed.  I need to find work, we will see where her hospital is and the local adventures begin.

It was August 12, 2015.

It's been a month, now. We go out every week and explore.  I'm desperately trying to get caught up.  But at the same time, I want to continue posting new stories every few days.  Currently we have had a half dozen adventures.

My favorite part of all of this has been the sharing of the travels we have had together with such great views of this beautiful country we live in.

One of the oldest Big Boy franchises.  60 years!!
